This is 6 hour dual module combination ECG course and pharmacology class. The ECG course is designed to assist students with interpretation of cardiac rhythms often encountered during crisis events using a cardiac monitor. From bradycardia and tachycardia to Asystole and PEA, this course offers insight on how to recognize and treat the most commonly found dysrhythmias. Interpretation of these dysrhythmias will guide students in delivering the appropriate care to patients in an emergency response situation. Our stress free learning environment allows students to become more confident in their skills of recognizing lethal rhythms as well as the treatments. Whether delivering electrical therapy or chemical interventions, these actions could save someone’s life in a crisis situation.
The pharmacology portion of the class is designed to refresh students on the current medications and dosages used to treat emergency events for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses. A review of the more commonly used drugs and electrical therapies is discussed throughout the course. This allows the student to feel more confident in their knowledge of caring for the crisis patient when needed.
A completion certificate is awarded to each student that successfully completes these training modules.
