This 3 hour basic first aid training course is designed to provide students a broad overview of the most common emergency response situations involving both medical emergencies as well as traumatic injuries. Many workplace settings use this course to fulfill OSHA requirements. Students are trained in the use or personal protective equipment, finding the problems with a patient, bleeding control and rendering basic care in splinting and bandaging. Use of an Epinephrine Auto Injector is also taught as part of this course and may be a part of the required training in your area. As we encounter more allergic reactions from both adults and children, our emphasis has grown to allow students to train in the use of these auto injectors in order to save a life.
Certification cards are valid for two years and some workplaces require annual refreshers. There is not a written exam required for this course unless client needs one.

This course is used to fulfill the requirements of OSHA for workplace training needs. Textbooks are required for this course and training is valid for one year.
