Peerless Emergency Response Training Metro Chattanooga

Basic First Aid

Basic First Aid Training

This 3 hour basic first aid training course is designed to provide students a broad overview of the most common emergency response situations involving both medical emergencies as well as traumatic injuries.  Many workplace settings use this course to fulfill OSHA requirements.  Students are trained in the use or personal protective equipment, finding the problems with a patient, bleeding control and rendering basic care in splinting and bandaging.  Use of an Epinephrine Auto Injector is also taught as part of this course and may be a part of the required training in your area. As we encounter more allergic reactions from both adults and children, our emphasis has grown to allow students to train in the use of these auto injectors in order to save a life.

Certification cards are valid for two years and some workplaces require annual refreshers.  There is not a written exam required for this course unless client needs one.

Peerless uses the American Heart Association® curriculum.

Bloodborne Pathogens

This 1.5 hour course is a two part class that covers the standard curriculum of workplace safety for exposures to blood and infectious diseases.  While part one is video based training for PACT and is typically the same for everyone, part two is designed to provide site specific training and / or recommendations for any locally common hazards associated with the workplace.  This course is used to fulfill the requirements of OSHA for workplace training needs. Textbooks are required for this course and training is valid for one year.  Annual refresher training is recommended.

We use the American Heart Association® curriculum.

These first aid training courses may be combined with other training modules as needed.
